“Aug 4-11- Dallas and NJ What a spectacular vacation!! The rental house was overall pretty copreicious in size and space, and the furniture and rooms were tidy, suited for a stay of eight people. Best of all, the kitchen had everything! We were greatly satisfied with the spices and other tools. Most importantly, we were able to accomplish one of our important goals, eating lobster! Nearby the house was a nice seafood shop with lots of lobster! Coming back to the house kitchen, we were able to stir up several meals of savory, mouth-water lobster. We enjoyed the basement with the work-out area, plus the many board games that were provided in a cabinet. Also everyone enjoyed lying on the couch and watching the Olympics on the big TV. The house was marvelous! We enjoyed the relaxing stay, and are disappointed to have to leave in just a week. Everything that you need is in this comfy house. ”
“May 24-29- Virginia Fern Way is a beautiful family home! We loved the windows opening us to the ferns and pines of the island. The file of information helped us plan our days. The stone hearth is the centerpiece of the house. We enjoyed many pots of tea relaxing at the end of the full days of exploring Acadia. ”
“June 1-6 “The YaYa’s” Six women on their annual week together, and we all agreed this was one of the best in 15 years of traveling together. The house was wonderful- best kitchen EVER! Jen and Adam were terrific- very responsive to the smallest problem. We played, laughed, ate lobster, sat up and talked into the week hours of the morning, and hated to leave. “Aug 9 Honeybee is bussing, even with a hummingbird visiting daily. The outside table was a cool workspace and morning spot, and the front porch a good perch for reading and playing. Great to have bedroom fans for cooling off at night. We loved being in Acadia and able to ride the bus! Enjoyed some of the raspberries too!”

“Sept 2-9 We have traveled all over the country and this was one of the most scenic spots we have ever stayed at. The location to town is convenient especially as we travel by motorcycle allowing us to easily take in the sites. We even enjoyed a rainy day by the six of us bonding over creating a jigsaw puzzle of the Maine Lighthouses. The deer visiting us daily in the yard added to serenity of our time spent here. ”
“June 15-22- PA, NY Eagle Cliff was wonderful. We felt so welcome and comfortable. It really felt like we were staying at a friends home verses renting. The house is so well stocked and equipped with everything you would possibly need. Of course, the views are spectacular and we really enjoy the visit from the deer family many times a day. For some of us, this was our first trip to Bar Harbor. We hope to come back again especially if we can stay at Eagle Cliff. ”
“July 20-27- Maine We have been visiting the Ellsworth/Bar Harbor area for more decades than we care to admit, and have tried many times to find one of the great “Old Cottages” in which to stay. Until now, they have always been a huge disappointment, rundown and not as advertised. Eagle Cliff is perfect, splendidly maintained, perfectly located, peaceful and private. I couldn’t have found a better place to celebrate my birthday. Perhaps we shall make it an annual affair. Thank you and wishing you the very best!”

On the first day we saw deer (does, fawn, and a buck), an eagle, and a fox. I sighted the fox several times and deer daily. Songbirds, too, celebrated each day. “Aug 17-24 Thank you so very much for creating a clean, relaxing, well stocked home for us. Fluffy towels was a bonus hit! We had come together from five states to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary- 18 of us (not all staying here!) together- not sure if it will happen again. Your home provided the perfect setting for family ginners (awesome grill) and perfectly situated for activities around the island. We have spent 3 past summers together in Cape Cod and while those were memorable trips, your home was the cleanest of any we have stayed at! Our week was rain free but we did manage a few games of Boggle- thank you for having games on hand! Part of the really nice touches you provided – including shampoo, jam, information in the box, very clear exiting directions- you don’t miss anything! Thank you for a truly memorable week!”

There was no detail that was missed. Our prior experiences with rentals had us running to the grocery store for anything we forgot or needed. Everything was here. We are tea drinkers and I always pack my own tea. I was pleasantly surprised to find tea and sugar. It’s the small things that make it feel like home.”
